Mission Statement

The mission of Drama Ministry is to give students the opportunities and tools to use their God-given talents to spread the message of Christ to Saxony Lutheran High School, area Lutheran schools and churches, and the surrounding community.

Thanks for all your support with Operation Christmas Child. It went over great and we beat our goal from last year.

Projected Goals of Drama Ministry
Short-term Goals

• Introduce the advantages of having student-led devotions through drama and public speaking.
• Assemble a select body of students with talent in drama and a desire to proclaim the Gospel.
• Compile and rehearse a collection of entertaining and engaging Christian skits.
• Send out promotional material to area Lutheran schools and churches for support and performance opportunities.
• Provide performances and devotions for Lutheran schools and church functions.

Long-term Goals

• Maintain the Drama Ministry by effectively creating Saxony's own set of Christ-centered skits.
• Provide the Saxony students, faculty, and staff with frequent devotions and skits.
• Assemble groups of students that will provide topical performances for individual groups (classes, schools, Bible studies, etc).
• Establish Saxony's Drama Ministry as an example for other Lutheran schools to adopt.
• Reach out to youth outside of the Lutheran Church with the Gospel.
• Explore and experiment with a variety of performances for all types of audiences.
• Incorporate students of all different talents with opportunities to contribute to Drama Ministry and the mission of the Church.

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. 1 Cor. 12:4-6
