National Honor Society

The National Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. It also challenges students to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

NHS is an elite organization at Saxony established in Spring 2007. The process of applying is very rigorous. Only a sophomore, junior, or senior that has a GPA of 3.74 or higher can receive an application . Once the student sends in his\her application, a variety of teachers evaluate the application and nominate the candidates for acceptance based on their excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
