Student Council, or "StuCo" as we call it, is the student government here at Saxony. Our student council consists of four leaders for the overall student body: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Each class also elects a class president and vice president to be on the council, along with representatives from each of our extra-curricular activities.

To become a officer, you will need to fill out a election ballot, which is a paper that 15 of your classmates sign to say they would like you to be part of Student Council. Once you are nominated you will give a speech in front of the student body, saying why you would be good for Student Council. Finally your peers vote for who they believe is the best fit.

To become a representative, your activity nominates someone to serve on the council as a representative, but if you want to be a leader or class president you have to run for election, present a speech to the school, and finally your peers vote for who they believe is the best fit.

Once elected, you attend StuCo meetings every other week and help with the planning and set-up for dances.
